Seasons over! Last home game for 2010. My bro and I have been talking for years about meeting up for a Lakers game but it’s been a logistical nightmare getting him down here from Fresno, till tonight when the stars aligned. Props to Melmo for the ticket hookups!
I went to check out the Lakers website at half-time and I did a mini double-take when instead of the usual home-page instead I got a giant current scoreboard / play-by-play screen. It’s called the NBA TV Companion and first debuted last month.
I’ll be honest; this is nothing more than a gratuitous excuse to flash some sports bling. Alright, now that that’s out of the way, look at it. 14 diamonds for the 14 previous championships, 15-karat gold(???) to symbolize the 15th. All the players’ faces are engraved on their individual rings. And it looked even better in HD.
